Introduction

Stand by Me is 1986 film directed by Rob Reiner based on the book “The Body” by Stephen King. In the film, 4 boys go on a hike to find the body of a missing child. The journey is an opportunity for them to mature and in in doing so their friendships are tested. It also evidences that it is possible to grow beyond the bounds placed by your family; however, sometimes your bonds are too strong to leave them behind.
